A morning walk up Roncesvalles

I haven't been that excited about taking photographs lately, but grabed the camera on the way out the door this morning. Reva and I were on our way for a quick walk up one of our favourite streets: Ronscesvalles.

At the end of our block, is an abandoned old building which is about to be restored into low income housing.

The side streets in this area are full of big old houses. Everything was covered in Halloween decorations from last night- cheap dollar store crap. We came across this dog who wanted freedom.

And here we are on Roncesvalles. It's a lovely, interesting street that has a wonderful feeling of community. There are people of all types going about their business. We bought some espresso and I had a huge cookie. It was nice. We had to get back as Reva was teaching a class in the afternoon. It was a short walk, but a nice one.

the light, the dog's nose poking through the fence, the vivid colors of reva's purse against that beautiful azure temporary wall...and the neighborhood of Roncesvalles...is it French Canadian?
