Sunday

We would like to...

For all of the wonderful gifts everybody spoiled us with this holiday. It was really generous and thoughtful. We were touched. From pounds of fresh baked treats, to canuck socks, notebooks, pens, spices and teas, music, movies, books, chocolate, candles, placemats, a lamp, antique barbie stuff, yarn, jewellery, did I mention chocolate? watchmaker tins, vintage textiles, olympic propaganda, gloves and so much more. It was a lot! So we thank you all and feel very loved. Talk to you soon,
Aren and Reva

Here is the tree, with the gifts wrapped, moments before we tore them open.

Aren, cozy under his new skona quilt, recovering from a chocolaty (fudge) overdose:

Here is our diorama of holiday gifts. It is a magical, multicultural village. Pay notice to the hot air balloon, refreshing river, dangerous waterfall, welcoming homes, tidy paths, a sailing vessel and the sturdy fence. The last two of course we didn't frame in the photo. Ha ha, oh we did have some aspirations for this diorama. We fell a bit short. Enjoy!

Christmas Eve Stroll

We had ourselves soy lattes and went for a stroll down College Street this afternoon. The sun was shining and Reva was taking some great shots (edited: Aren took some great ones as well).

Friday

holiday time

Look what came in the mail! We now each have 2 stockings. We are so spoiled. Thanks everyone!

Up next: cookie time.

Wednesday

Blue Light Green Light

The light entering our windows: The dusk light from our west facing window and the green glow of the fluorescent in the hallway outside the front door.

I call this one...

'Designer's Desk Stage 1'

The designer has begun her drawings and research. No sewing yet. Will this be part of a continuing photographic series?

As requested

I wish it said, "participation award".

Tuesday

saturated sun

It was another hot sunny day here. For my walk/streetcar ride to an afternoon meeting, I downgraded my australian boots to sneakers and abandoned the scarf. On the way I snapped some photos, which I've saturated to the extreme. The long, dark shadows of the winter sun are ideal for this.

Saturday

I'm done!

It feels very strange. There are still the short dramatic 35mm films, which shoot in Feb/March. But I shall talk more about those and other exciting things at a later time. For now, here are a few pictures to get my feet wet in the blogging world once again.

Thursday

-15C with the windchill

Friday

tree update

It went from goldeny orange to brownish to no leaves (last update: 30 seconds ago) in the last couple of days. I blame the rain.

It was sunny for about a minute this afternoon.
