tree update
It went from goldeny orange to brownish to no leaves (last update: 30 seconds ago) in the last couple of days. I blame the rain. 
It was sunny for about a minute this afternoon.

I think you're right to blame the rain.
Lovely orange on orange persimmon picture - I hadn't actually ever eaten one until last week, when Kin's market had some all cut up as samples, and it was very nice.
Persimmon, pomegranate - perhaps you need a third, exotic, p fruit just to round things out?
